Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting online applications from eligible applicants for the posts of Geologist, Geo-Scientist and Chemist under Geological Survey of India (GSI) Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) falling under Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), applicants who are interested must apply for UPSC Geologist & Geo-Scientist Exam by submitting online application on or before the last date that is 03-03-2018.

CDS Exam Eligibility Criteria ->>
Applicants must be-
A Citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who has migrated to Indian with the intention to permanently settling in India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him/her by the Government of India

Education Qualification ->> Candidates should have passed Master’s degree in Geology/ Applied Geology or Marine Geology/ Mineral exploration/ Hydrogeology or Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of Indian School of Mines.
For Geologists & Junior Hydro Geologists Grade ‘A’ in Geological Survey of India ->> Candidates should hold Master’s degree in Geology or Geological Science or Applied Geology or Mineral Exploration or Geo-Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Geochemistry or Geological Technology or Petroleum Geosciences or Coastal Area Studies or Petroleum Exploration or Geophysical Technology from a recognized university.
For Geophysicists Grade ‘A’ in Geological Survey of India ->> M.Sc. (Geophysics) or M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) Or M.Sc (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Tech.) (Applied Geophysics) from a recognized university.
For Chemists Grade ‘A’ in Geological Survey of India ->> Applicants must have pass M. Sc. in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or Applied Chemistry from a recognized board with good academic records.

Age Limit ->>
Geologist, Group A ->> 21 to 32 Years
Geophysicist, Group A ->> 21 to 32 Years
Chemist. Group A ->> 21 to 32 Years
Junior Hydro Geologists (Scientist B), Group A ->> 21 to 35 Years

Selection Process ->> Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in written test and Interview/ Personality Test.

UPSC Geologist Exam Pattern ->>
There will be two parts- Part I and Part II.
Part I will consist of written test having duration of 03 hours for each paper.
