Educational Qualification:

Applicants must have done Matriculation or 10th class as the minimum educational qualification.


Age Limit:

  • For CT/ DVR posts: 21 to 27 years
  • For all other posts (CT/Tech & Trades except CT/DVR): 18 to 23 years
  • Calculate Your Age

Relaxation Will Be Given As:

  • 5 years for the SC/ST Candidates and
  • 3 years for the OBC candidates.

Salary Details:

  • Salary according to the level 3 pay matrix i.e. Rs.21,700 to 50,000/-
  • The old scale was 5200-20,200 + Grade Pay 2000/-
  • Job seekers will also obtain dearness allowance, ration money, free accommodation, free uniform, free medical facilities, free leave pass (once in a year during leave) and other allowances as admissible under the rules in the Force.

Application fees:

  • Job seekers have to pay an amount of Rs.100/-.
  • No fee is applicable for the SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen & women job seekers.

Mode to Submit the Application Fees:

  • The application form fees will be submitted via online mode i.e. with the help of credit card/ debit card or through net banking.
  • Job seekers can also submit the application amount via Offline mode by using SBI Challan (Challan other than SBI will not be accepted) up to 20-02-2017.

Selection Process:

Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Documentation, Written Exam, Trade Test & Medical Examination.

After completion of medical exam test/ Review medical exam, State and  category wise merit namely General, SC, ST, OBC & Ex-servicemen will be drawn separately for each trade’s candidates (male/ female separately) on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained in written test by the candidate.

  • The written examination will be bilingual i.e. in English & Hindi.
  • Trade test/practical assessment to be done in two events as subjective and objective i.e. practical assessment and written trade skill, which will be qualifying in nature
  • Out of 50 marks for practical Trade Test, a candidate must secure 20 marks to qualify

The minimum cut off percentage of marks for selection will normally be as under:

  • General and Ex-servicemen: 35%
  • SC/ST/OBC: 33%
  • The merit lists will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in written test by the candidates.
  • The Call Letters/Admit Cards for PST/PET, Written Test, Trade Test and Detailed medical examination will be uploaded on the official website
  • Applicants will download their admit cards for PET/ PST & documentation, Written Test, Trade Test and Detailed Medical Examination online only from website.
  • No TA/DA will be allowed to the candidates for their journey to attend test for CRPF Recruitment Tradesman.

Note: Job seekers belonging to the Physically Handicapped Category Are Not Eligible to Apply for This Examination.

About Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF):

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the biggest of India's Central Armed Police Forces. It functions under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Govt. of India. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) primary role lies in assisting the State/ Union Territories in police operations to maintain law and order and counter insurgency. It came into subsistence as the Crown legislature Police on 27-07-1939. After Indian Independence, it became the CRPF on performance of the Central Reserve Police Force Act on 28-12-1949.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was derived from the CRP (Crown Representative's Police) on 27-07-939 with 2 (two) battalions in Nimach [Means North Indian Military and Cavelary Headquarter], Madhya Pradesh (MP). Its primary duty at the time was to protect the British residents in sensitive states of India. In 1949 (Nineteen Ninety Four), the Crown Representative's Police was renamed under the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Act. During the 1960s, various state reserve police battalions were merged with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been active against foreign invasion and domestic insurgency.
