WB Department of Health and Family Welfare is inviting applications from eligible applicants for the course of General Nursing and Midwifery on or before 12-05-2017.

The Health & Family Welfare Department of the State Government (राज्य सरकार के स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण विभाग) has been vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in state of West Bengal. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State.

GNM Nursing Application Form

Course Name ->> General Nursing and Midwifery

Educations Qualification ->>
Applicants mist have pass 10+2 from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent.
Applicants should be able read and write in Bengali/ Nepali
Application of the student from the vocational stream will not be considered.

Age Limit ->> Minimum 17 & maximum age is 27 Years.

Aspirants are Required to Fulfill the Criterion Given ->>
Applicants should be citizen of India and permanent resident of the district of West Bengal.
In medical terms also the aspirants should be fit.
The admission will only be done once in a year.
Applicants should be registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.

Terms and Conditions to fill Application Form ->>
Applications are to be made as per pro forma given in the PDF. No application will be entertained if necessary documents are not furnished as per forma.
Application form must be accompanied by original/self attested photo copies of necessary documents.
Application will be rejected if any of the following documents is not submitted.
Self attested photocopy of mark sheet of HS examination or equivalent.
Age proof certificate.
Photocopy of admit card or certificate of madhyamic/equivalent examination.
Caste certificate and residential certificate.
Recent coloured passport size photograph with self signed.

Selection Process ->> Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of total marks obtained in compulsory subjects in the H.S. (10+2) or equivalent Examination.

Essential Qualifications ->> Aspirants must have done –
10+2 class preferably Science (PCB) & English with aggregate of 40% marks.
in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.
And last but not the least the contender should be registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
In medical terms also the aspirants should be fit.
The admission will only be done once in a year.

Age Limit ->> Minimum 18 & maximum age is 35 years.

Selection Process ->>
Selection of the applicants will be done on basis of their performance in entrance examination. Admission procedure will begin from 01st July to 30th September (After 10+2 result up to 30th June).
Rajasthan Nursing Council will operate the GNM/ ANM Exam on the 1st week of September. Commencement of Course: All the nursing courses will start from 01st October like every year.

Internal Assessment ->> Internal Assessment exam will be conducted by the nursing schools every 3 months and the average of all the three exams will be sent to Rajasthan Nursing Council according to syllabus.

For GNM Course ->> Contestants who desire to apply should have possessed XII class OR 12th or its equivalent examination preferable with Science subjects.

For Post Basic Diploma Course ->> Candidates should be registered nurse and registered midwife (R.N. & R.M) and passes a minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse.

Age Restriction ->> The age limit shall be 16 years accomplished and enter 17th year as on the 1st July of the year and shall not have finished 35 years of age.

Application Cost ->> Applicants are needed to pay Rs. 100/- through a Government challan crediting to the Head of Account “0210 – Medical & Public Health 03 – Medical Education Training & Research MH 105 – Allopathy SH (81) – Other revenue at any branch of State Bank of Hyderabad (or) SBI at respective spaces.
