Eligible Students who want to be an engineer in his career & wish to join IIT, NIT and other colleges now have prepared them oneself for most
awaited examination All India Engineering Entrance Examination and commonly known as Joint Entrance Examination Main. Therefore students who wish to appear in this examination fill online applications from the official link given below. Below are the new notice and Examination dates for Joint Entrance Examination main.

As per the existing policy, 40 per cent weightage is given to board marks and 60 per cent to the JEE-Main score for admission to NITs. But from now onwards Admissions to the National Institute of Technology from next year could be based entirely on JEE-Main scores, with a government-selected panel likely to recommend scrapping of weightage given to marks obtained in board exams. “We would be recommending scrapping of weightages given to board marks,” Director of Institute of Information Technology Bombay and a member of the panel, Devang Khakhar. AIEEE was an exam organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education in India. Introduced in the year two thousand two, this national level competitive test is for admission to various UG engineering & architecture courses in institutes accepting the All India Engineering Entrance Examination score, mainly thirty National Institutes of Technology and five Indian Institute of Information Technology. All India Engineering Entrance Examination was generally held on the last Sunday of April and results were issued in the last week of May or the first week of June. Applicants were ranked on an all-India basis and state basis. Thus, they have an All India Rank and a State Rank. AIEEE was replaced by Joint Entrance Examination in April two thousand thirteen.

All India Engineering Entrance Examination consists of only 2 papers: Paper 1 for B.E./ BTech courses and Paper second for BArch courses. A students may opt for any or both the papers. Paper first has three sections: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with equal weight for each subject. Each section consists of multiple choice objective-type questions each of which has four choices. Out of the four choices for a given question, only one choice is correct. Paper first has a negative-marking scheme wherein an incorrect answer is negatively marked with one fourth of the maximum marks allotted to the question. Paper second has three sections: Mathematics, Drawing, and Aptitude. Mathematics, & Aptitude sections have multiple choice objective-type questions and the Drawing section has drawing-based questions.

Date of Birth:

Only applicants whose date of birth falls on or after one October nineteen ninety (1990) are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) applicants, upper age limit is relaxed by five (05) years, i.e. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and PwD candidates who are born on or after one October nineteen eighty five are willing. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/ University certificate will only be considered.

Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination (QE):

Applicants who have passed their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying exam in two thousand fourteen or two thousand fifteen, or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying exam in two thousand seventeen are willing to appear in Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – two thousand fifteen. Candidates who passed Class 12th/ Qualifying examination in two thousand thirteen or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in two thousand seventeen or later are not eligible to appear in Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-two thousand seventeen.

Applicants who appeared in class 12th/ equivalent qualifying Exam in two thousand thirteen (2013), did not pass in 2013, but passed in 2014 are also not eligible to appear in Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2016.

Number of subjects in the Qualifying Exam applicants should have taken at least 5 subjects in class 12th/ qualifying exam in order to be eligible for writing Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2017. Applicants who have taken 4 subjects are not permitted to write Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2017 and if such candidates appear in Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2017 by furnishing wrong details, their rank/ result will not be declared.

Important Instruction:

Applicants of JEE (Main) – 2017 have to apply online only. There is no printed application form for JEE (Main).

Please ensure that you are filling genuine application form available online at JEE (Main) website (www.jeemain.nic.in).

Please ensure your eligibility as per the criteria laid down for JEE (Main), JEE (Advanced) and participating State Institutions (as applicable).

Applicants are allowed to submit only one application form. More than one application i.e Multiple applications from a candidate will be rejected.

The name of the candidate and his/ her parents name in the application form must exactly be the same as registered in Class 12th/ equivalent qualifying Examination. No prefix/ title such as Mr/ Shri/ Fr/ Dr/ Mrs/ Smt/ Col etc should be used.

The fee can be paid either by credit/ debit card or via e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form. In case of e-challan, the payment must be made in the Syndicate/ Canara/ ICICI/ HDFC Bank in cash. Application form fee once paid will not be refunded (full or partial) under any circumstances.

No options can be changed at a later stage after submission of an application. However, a opportunity can be given to the applicants to correct/ modify some of the particular(s) of the applications online only, with valid reason(s), during the month of Jan two thousand seventeen. Applicants are suggested to see the website and newspaper regularly to know the exact date when the correction(s)/ modification(s) will be allowed online only. No change will be accepted via offline i.e. via fax/application including e-mail etc.

The decision of the JEE Apex Board about the eligibility of any candidate shall be final. Major differences between JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced include:

Any applicant who meets eligibility criteria may take JEE-Main. However, only top 1.5 lakh candidates in JEE-Main can take JEE-Advanced.

IITs and ISM Dhanbad pick up candidates on the basis of All India Rank in JEE-Advanced. Applicants should feature in the top twenty percentile of Boards in respective categories.

JEE-Main and Advanced are held in two parts—Paper 1and paper 2.

The paper 1 of JEE Main has multiple choice questions in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics while the paper 1 of JEE-Advanced has objective type questions from the same subjects.

Applicants may take the paper 1 of JEE-Main as a pen-paper test or an online test. However, JEE-Advanced does not offer any such option. Both the papers of JEE Advanced shall be paper based tests.

The paper second of JEE-Main is taken by students only for admission to B.Arch B.Plan program. While those eligible in pursuing Architecture and Design courses in an IIT shall be required to sit for the Design Aptitude Test in a zonal IIT sometime later.

A candidate can take JEE-Main only thrice in his/her lifetime.

An applicant may attempt JEE-Advanced a maximum of two times in consecutive years.
