JEST Application Form:

The organization has been announced a notification as JEST Exam Notification for all applicants to take admission in Doctor of Philosophy
(Ph.D) in Physics, Theoretical Computer Science and Neuroscience/ integrated M.Sc/M.Tech+Ph.D programs offered at different Indian institutes via Joint Entrance Screening Test.

Organization has whole set to be held Joint Entrance Screening Test on 19-02-2017 (Sunday). All applicants who are eligible to get entry in Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Physics, Theoretical Computer Science and Neuroscience/ integrated M.Sc/M.Tech+Ph.D programs via Joint Entrance Screening Test, applicants can apply online by filling JEST Application Form before closing date.


JEST exam will be held by the organization. Applicants are eligible for admission through this admission brochure except for Medical Courses.

Eligibility Criteria for JEST:

For Ph.D in Physics Program:

Applicants must have M.Sc. in Physics or M.Sc/ M.E/ M.Tech in related disciplines/M.Sc. in Mathematics / Applied Physics / Applied Mathematics / Optics and Photonics / Instrumentation / Electronics will also be considered at IIA.

For Integrated Ph.D Program at IISER:

Graduates with bachelor’s degree in Physics/ Technology/ Engineering will be considered for the Int. Ph.D. program in Physics.


Application Fee:

  • 300 for General and OBC category.
  • Rs 150 for SC/ST applicants only.
  • Candidates have to pay fee along with the application form through online using debit/ credit cards and net-banking. Payment by any other mode will not be accepted.

Selection Process:

Selection will be through qualifying marks in JEST followed by other process of admission.
