Indian Air Force is inviting applications from male candidates to appear in recruitment rally from 05-04-2017 to 10-04-2017 to join as an airman in group ‘X’ (TECHNICAL) trades and group ‘Y’ (non-technical) trades {EXCEPT AUTO TECH, GTI, IAF(P), IAF(S), MED ASST & musician trades} at government higher secondary school, kavaratti (union territory of lakshadweep island) for intakes 01/2018 & 02/2018.

Post Name ->> Airman in Group ‘X’ (Technical) & Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Trades

Required Qualification ->> 
For Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades ->> Candidates should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2 / Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Applicants should have passed three years Diploma Course in Engineering from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in overall aggregate, and 50% marks in English in Diploma or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course.
For Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Trades ->> Applicants should have completed Intermediate/ 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Age Limit ->> Candidates born between 07-07-1997 and 20-12-2000 (both days inclusive).

Salary Details ->>
During training, a stipend of Rs. 11,400/- per month will be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Grade Pay, Military Service Pay (MSP), Group ‘X’ Pay  and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be as follows:-
For Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades: Rs. 26,685/- Per Month Rs. 23,535/- per month (Approximately)
For Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Trades: Rs. 23,535/- Per Month (Approximately)

Selection Process ->> Selection of applicants will be done on basis of their performance in Verification of Eligibility, Written Test, Adaptability Test-1, Physical Fitness Test, Adaptability Test-2 and Medical Examination.

Age Limit ->> Candidates born between 07-07-1997 and 20-12-2000 (both days inclusive)

Salary Details ->> During training, applicants will get salary of Rs. 11,400/- per month. After completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Grade Pay, Military Service Pay (MSP) and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be Rs. 23,535/- per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual. Other allowances such as Transport allowance, Composite personal maintenance allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration allowance (LRA), Children Education Allowance, Family planning allowance, HRA etc. are also admissible to airmen.

Selection Process ->> Selection of applicants will be done on basis of their performance in Verification of Eligibility, Physical Fitness Test, Written Test, Adaptability Test-1 and Adaptability Test-2 and Medical Examination after screening of application.

Scheme of Written Examination ->>
Those candidates who will qualify the PFT will be shortlisted for Written Test.
The Written Test will be objective type and question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper.
Duration of the written test will be 45 minutes.
It comprises English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
